Interviewed over at Deadline, Bob Iger opens up about a number of relevant topics including his views on the current era of Star Wars so far, and while he is confident of more great output, he does admit that perhaps – for a saga that has been lovingly drip-fed as a cultural event for decades – there has been an element of too much, too fast.

On ‘Star Wars’ recent performance:

“I just think that we might’ve put a little bit too much in the marketplace too fast.” But, he adds, “I think the storytelling capabilities of the company are endless because of the talent we have at the company, and the talent we have at the company is better than it’s ever been, in part because of the influx of people from Fox.”

Interesting that he is so on the nose regarding the influx of Fox staff, a company that has been closely associated with Star Wars since 1975.
