When MTV News astutely asks if the Emperor is the big bad, and J.J. Abrams replies,”With the Emperor around, he’s not going to be your cuddly pal” it feels increasingly safe to assume that Palpatine is going to be physically present in The Rise of Skywalker in the now, not only the past. There’s a lot to chew over in this 2 minute interview, so get watching.

J.J., great fun as always on the red carpet and despite his huge new Warner deals let’s hope this isn’t his final sojourn into the GFFA.
