What thoughts must be passing through the mind of composer John Williams as he prepares for the release of what is his final entry in the 9 part Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker? After over 42 years and three trilogies, his last entry is about to be revealed, and speaking with DAPS Magic he discusses that musical journey and its evolution.

For over forty years, John Williams has been the maestro behind Star Wars music. Since that iconic blast of the Star Wars theme was first heard in 1977 by moviegoers, Williams has been writing music for the Skywalker Saga. With the arrival of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the Skywalker Saga will be over.

As this era of Star Wars comes to an end, John Williams sat down to share some thoughts before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters in under a week. During the course of this interview, Williams shared about writing for the series for over four decades. He also talked about the music evolution, recording, certain characters, and even J.J. Abrams.
