George Lucas 80th birthday bash at Skywalker Ranch

Celebrating his 80th birthday, George Lucas invited an Oscars-worthy list of guests to Skywalker Ranch on Saturday 18th May with Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Samuel L. Jackson, Tyler Perry, Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Robert De Niro, Glenn Close, Queen Latifah, Kerry Washington, Steve Martin, Chris Rock, Swizz Beatz, Jon Favreau, and Warwick Davis attending, entertained by Master of ceremonies Steve Martin with music from Alicia Keys, Jon Batiste, Don Henley and H.E.R.

The party took place from roughly 6 PM until midnight on Saturday night, with upwards of 150 guests including Lucas’ friends and family. The party kicked off with a cocktail hour at the Star Wars gallery on the ranch, followed by an elegant dinner, with dancing and dessert later in the theater area.

Aside from the musical performances, there were other various musicians playing Star Wars and Indiana Jones-themed music throughout the bash.
