Mark your calendars and set your alarms for the week ahead. You won’t want to miss a thing. When I think about what’s ahead starting on May 1st, the back of my head nearly blew off, so here in one place is everything happening this week.

Wednesday May 1st: The final episode of The Bad Batch airs on Disney Plus.

Thursday May 2nd: Tickets for Celebration Japan go on sale (take note, accounting for time zones, these go on sale for us here in the UK at 00.01am on Friday 3rd May, so be sure to be at your laptops Thursday night moving into Friday morning).

Friday May 3rd: The Phantom Menace returns to cinemas to celebrate its 25th anniversary for one week only and will feature a special look at The Acolyte.

Saturday May 4th: Happy Star Wars Day! To help us celebrate, all six-episodes of Tales of the Empire drop on Disney Plus. Also launching May 4th is the new Vintage Collection HASLAB from Hasbro.

Of course, both Star Wars Days (May the 4th and Revenge of the 5th) fall on a weekend, so there’s ample things to help you celebrate. Star Wars Fan Fun Day is on May 5th, there’s Galactic Gathering happening at the National Space Centre in Leicester and of course a boat load of surprises that we don’t yet know about.

LEGO, Smyths, Hamleys and Disney Store will all be offering exclusive merchandise to help celebrate too, so grab your blue milk, get some rest where you can and I’m confident we’ll look back on these days and think ‘That was a pretty great time to be a Star Wars fan‘.

Jonathan wasn't born until 1991 so missed out on all the fun but in 1995 when a family member gave him three old VHS tapes from a galaxy far, far away his life was transformed forever. In 1999, aged 8, he fell in love all over again with the Prequels and the rest, as they say, is history. By day (and night) Jonathan is an author/ writer and stand-up comedian and now spends most of his time thinking about how he can work more Star Wars jokes into his show. Jonathan is also the curator of 'The Jedi Palladium'.
