As ever – hey, it is Star Wars after all – rumours abound regarding a plethora of potential Star Wars shows on Disney Plus, to say nothing of the creatives that are already announced as working on unnamed projects in the GFFA. Enter Kelly Marie Tran, Rose Tico from Episode’s 8 and 9, asked if she would ever consider a return to the saga, specifically regarding director Jon M. Chu and his spitballed idea of giving the Resistance technician her own series. While her answer is decidedly non-committal, it isn’t a no.

“He’s so cool. I don’t know. I honestly don’t know,” Tran mused.

“It’s so strange. I had so much fun being in that world, but I feel like the pieces would have to fall into a perfect little puzzle and everything would have to feel like it’s the right time and the right moment and the right story, like with any other project. But I don’t know.”

Noting how there’s plenty more to learn about Rose, Tran went on to add: “I think there are a lot of characters in that universe that we have yet to hear enough about.”

A return to the sequel trilogy era would certainly be of interest to millions of fans, while other areas of the timeline are being well served in Cassian, Kenobi, The Mandalorian, The High Republic and elsewhere. We’ll be sure to discuss this and much more on next week’s 58th episode of Making Tracks.
