Sad news as Les Conrad, who appeared in the original trilogy as a Stormtrooper, a Hoth Rebel and a Gammorrean Guard, has passed away. A double for Emperor Palpatine on the set of Return of the Jedi and an uncredited Naboo civilian in The Phantom Menace, he was the brother of A New Hope Imperial guard Ron Conrad and played a number of uncredited roles in classic Doctor Who episodes as well as appearing in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Octopussy and Blake’s 7.

Our condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.
