Solo: A Derpfakes Story

To take absolutely nothing away from the spot-on performance of Alden Ehrenreich, this really is very clever indeed. Check out the ever-evolving tech of Derpfakes as the face of Ehrenreich is modified to evolve into that of a young Harrison Ford. It’s an increasingly ingenious blend of Alden’s performance, mixed with the classic looks of Ford circa 1977, more in line with the work that Guy Henry did as Grand Moff Tarkin in Rogue One.

The original Han Solo, Harrison Ford, replaces Alden Ehrenreich in the latest movie in the franchise – Solo: A Star Wars Story. Using footage and stills of a pre 1977 Harrison Ford, I tried to make the most convincing young Solo I could, with the peak (in my opinion) being the final scene.
