Star Wars alums, Lucasfilm and ILM make good showing on Oscars 2024 shortlist

ILM VFX, John Williams and Ludwig Göransson all got nods in the shortlist for the 96th Academy Awards, which take place 10th March 2024 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, and while these aren’t the final lists which will be battling for gold at the Oscars, it certainly shows what a dominant year ILM have had on the big screen, with 4 of the 10 shortlisted films featuring ILM effects as well as a potential 54th nomination for John Williams and his superb score for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and a possible third nomination for Göransson with his score for Oppenheimer.
