The Forbes’ 2024 celebrity billionaire list has been revealed, showing that not only is George Lucas still at the top almost a dozen years after selling Lucasfilm (and you’d think that after all these years Forbes would know how to spell Lucasfilm properly), but the list is a healthy mix of Hollywood, music and sports stars, with Taylor Swift – the only musician on the list to make her money solely from her music and touring – entering the list at number 14.

1. George Lucas
Net Worth: $5.5 Billion | Age: 79 | Citizenship: U.S.
The Star Wars director, who debuted as a billionaire in 1997, is the richest celebrity thanks in large part to his production company LucasFilm, which he sold to Disney in 2012 for more than $4 billion in cash and stock.

2. Steven Spielberg ($4.8B)
3. Michael Jordan ($3.2B)
4. Oprah Winfrey ($2.8B)
5. Jay-Z ($2.5B)
6. Kim Kardashian ($1.7B)
7. Peter Jackson ($1.5B)
8. Rihanna and Tyler Perry ($1.4B)
10. Tiger Woods ($1.3B)
11. LeBron James, Magic Johnson and Dick Wolf ($1.2B)
14. Taylor Swift ($1.1B)

George Lucas never misses a beat, remains lightning on his feet, and that’s what people don’t see.
