The Her Universe Fashion Show returns for 2018 at WonderCon, and Johnamarie over at The Wookiee Gunner takes a look at what’s in store for those in attendance.

The Her Universe Fashion Show: Junior Design Camp
Saturday, March 24, 10:00am – 1:00pm, Room 204C

Are you too young to compete in the Her Universe Fashion Show? Do you want to design your own pieces or maybe even work for a fashion company like Her Universe someday? If you are between the ages of 5 and 17, come and learn to design with the Her Universe Team and Her Universe Founder Ashley Eckstein. This 3-hour session is free with a WonderCon badge and no experience is needed. Junior designers will learn how to bring their ideas to life with a step-by-step tutorial of the fashion design process. Parents are welcome to attend and will also have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A portion of the class.

For the last four years, The Her Universe Fashion Show at San Diego Comic-Con has wowed audiences with its original “geek couture” designs. Every year, winners are chosen and given the unique professional opportunity to design a fashion collection with Her Universe to be sold in Hot Topic stores. Her Universe founder Ashley EcksteinEd Labay (VP GMM, Hot Topic), Theresa Mercado (VP of product development, Hot Topic) and 2017 fashion show winners Grace DuValLindsay Orndorff, and Rose Ivy take you behind the scenes of the making of the fashion show and their all-new collection for Hot Topic. Learn how these designers went from runway to retail! Plus, be the first to see other sneak peeks from Her Universe.
