Blocks Magazine is back for its 59th issue looking at dinosaurs, galaxy’s far, far away and much more.

No, Ian Malcolm, Blocks does not have King Kong within the pages of Issue 60. But the monthly LEGO magazine does have an in-depth review of 75936 Jurassic Park T.rex Rampage and plenty more besides.

While the imposing new Jurassic Park set leads the review section, Blocks also takes 10269 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy for a ride to see how the new Creator Expert set turned out. Going beyond the planet Earth, the new City Space sets also get careful consideration from the team.

This issue’s behind-the-scenes feature provides a look at how the new LEGO Star Wars BOOST product, 75253 Droid Commander, came to be. Combining the beloved Star Wars theme with the fun of coding, the set’s Experience Designer reveals how he and the Model Designer worked together to ensure they were making an experience worthy of the saga.

Bill Motz and Bob Roth discuss LEGO Star Wars All-Stars, the timeline-hopping animated extravaganza that covers all eras of the galaxy far, far away. That is not all for the exclusive insights though, as the LEGO Ideas 21318 Treehouse team – Samuel Johnson, César Soares and Monica Pederson – reveal what went into developing the theme’s largest ever set.

Two talented builders, Deepak Shenoy and Greg DiNapoli, share the story of how they found themselves building beautiful brick skyscrapers and share some tips and tricks that readers can apply to their own creations. Elsewhere in the magazine, this month’s Technique guide reveals a few useful ways to build authentic looking LEGO lampposts.

Blocks also takes a look at whether LEGO sets really have been getting more expensive over the years, to see whether the figures actually back up the perception. Looking at more recent releases, Brickpicker tracks the extinct Jurassic World sets to see how the theme is doing on the aftermarket.

That is only a taste of what is contained within the magazine’s 112 pages, with regular features including Month in LEGO, the History of LEGO, Retired Piece, Month in MOCs, Piece Perception, Ideas Showcase, LUG Spotlight and Brick Wife all packed into this month’s edition.
