With The Rise of Skywalker still raking it in at the box office around the world – $936,241,607 and counting, a billion is imminent – fans are digging into the luscious The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary and one of the many things noticed is a change in the saga’s ‘year zero’. Instead of the Battle of Yavin being the point where history resets with before Yavin (BBY) and after (ABY), the Visual Dictionary alters that to before Starkiller Incident (BSI) and after (ASI).

Star Wars Direct noted this and put together this graphic.

With Episode IX being the last Skywalker saga episode it seems odd to change this key historical starting point….unless there’s much more story to follow after the events of Rise.
