RIP Stephen Hawking

While he is more closely associated with Star Trek than Star Wars, we would be remiss if we didn’t note the passing of Stephen Hawking.

Writing over at my ‘other’ site, Star Trek: The Neutral Zone, I looked at Hawkings life and the leaps he made, not only in theoretical physics but through the tenacity and determination he showed in fighting the debilitating disease which wasted his body, but only served to hone his mind.

You could argue that the world didn’t realise what a privilege it was to live in the same era as Newton, Galileo and Einstein but the world certainly knows how lucky it’s been to share time with Hawking.

He was already considered one of the greats of science. Now his legacy will be secured, remembered and honoured.
