While there’s not much news to report here, the big takeaway is this – writer Jonathan Tropper is working on a Star Wars project, directed by Shawn Levy and reportedly with Ryan Gosling in the lead role (heroic? Villainous? Who knows?), and by the sound of it he’s having a whale of a time.

“That gig is something I’ve dreamed about my whole life. We’re still working on it. For various reasons, I can’t say anything about it. But we’re working on it.”

So, the project is moving forward, and given his strong heritage that’s something we should be excited about. Be sure to tune in to next weeks Making Tracks where we’ll discuss this and much more besides.

UPDATE: Corrected from previous version that incorrectly attributed the quote to director Shawn Levy. Thanks to Christina Radish for pointing this out.
