Here's how you can build you own the Saber of Light aka a Lightsaber.

YouTube’s Look Mum No Computer debuted a video in which he demonstrated how he combined a lightsaber with a theremin.

It's been a while since I've done a Do it Yourself and it's tasty one.To recreate the action of the film, you only need a red velvet cake and a mini Resistance ski-speeder.

How about picking up an official light saber toy and turning it into something even more impressive. So watch this episode of Master & Apprentice, where he teaches us how to do it.

Well, enough of Rapsberry's projects, let's go to some different ones. How about a levitating Death Star?

Just for today, we have a software Star Wars cinema spectacular. Martin O’Hanlon (co-writer of Adventures in Minecraft) has used his knowledge of both the Raspberry Pi and Minecraft Pi Edition to recreate the Death Star sequence as a Minecraft Animation.

I know I know!! We are still away from Christmas, but what about an idea to make when the date is coming?

In this issue of "Do It Yourself", I will bring a very difficult project, not only in challenge, but also in cost. Creator Les Pounder was able to create a project for a cheap R2-D2 using a Pi Zero board.

Again playing with a Raspberry Pi, how about building a lightsaber saber, but well increased. The project was published in the 42nd issue of MagPi magazine, and is completely free to download, and by joining it the creator Richard Hayler also put a step-by-step on his site.

If you want to start venturing into the world of Raspberry Pi, how about start with a very simple project with a Star Wars twist.

If there is something that I like to risk doing, it is to build some things, I have already transformed a popcorn's bucket BB-8 into a lamp, for example (I will post pictures later). So I will start a series here, where I show ideas of projects, that if you have the equipment in hand, you can do it, and let's start with the Lightsaber Pen.
