It’s not been announced – and with a slew of logo’s put ‘out there’ into the world a year ago it’s hardly surprising it not all of them come to fruition – but it could easily be read into this comment from Kathleen Kennedy that even if the Rangers of the New Republic series on Disney Plus doesn’t happen, any plotlines that have been worked up could be folded into the wider Mandoverse, specifically The Mandalorian.
Speaking with Empire Magazine, she briefly mentioned the show.
“We’d never written any scripts or anything on that. Some of that will figure into future episodes, I’m sure, of Mandalorian.”
A much bigger plan seems evident, split War of the Bounty Hunters style into each of the existing and forthcoming series and coming together into a focused conclusion. Wherever the final home of those Rangers of the New Republic plotlines turns out to be, it’s sure to be absolutely fascinating.
