Simon Bird has joined the cast of ‘Star Wars: Starfighter‘ which has just begun production in the UK.

The actor best known for his portrayal of the “briefcase wanker” Will McKenzie in the raunchy school based award-winning Channel 4 comedy series The Inbetweeners, and its two movie sequels.  He also starred as Adam Goodman in the Channel 4 comedy series Friday Night Dinner.

It’s not thought he will be reprising his Yoda impressions from The Inbetweeners in the movie….

In recent years he has been developing his career behind the scenes by building up his company People Person Picture through a partnership with BBC Studios.  Under that umbrella he has directed multiple episodes of the BBC comedy Such Brave Girls, and produced Netflix’s A Whole Lifetime With Jamie Demetriou which won the Rose D’Or for Best Comedy Entertainment.
