Film and Industry Television Alliance have posted that the hotly anticipated Kenobi series, coming to Disney Plus in 2022, will start shooting earlier than expected. The site has the series shooting in two locations, in Boston, Massachusetts and in London in the UK, presumably at the ever-expanding Pinewood Studios.

Along with already known crew names including Deborah Chow, Jason McGatlin and Kathleen Kennedy and Ewan McGregor in the lead role, it also brings this brief synopsis.

Tatooine-a harsh desert world where farmers toil in the heat of two suns while trying to protect themselves and their loved ones from the marauding Tusken Raiders. A backwater planet on the edge of civilized space. And an unlikely place to find a Jedi Master in hiding, or an orphaned infant boy on whose tiny shoulders rests the future of a galaxy.

That start date is less than a month away, so stay tuned for more news regarding the next chapter in the Star Wars story coming to Disney Plus right here on the site, our social streams, Fantha Tracks radio and Good Morning Tatooine.
