Anyone who’s watched Adam Driver can see there’s intensity in his craft, and this video goes a long way to explaining why. Watch Adam as he explains the differences between his life as a Marine, his career as an actor and the parallels between the two.

This is beautiful. Going from a Marine with a constant sense of meaning and community, family, to a struggling actor looking for that same sense of meaning in a drastically different reality. It’s beautiful that acting is what game him that sense of meaning again. Not only because of the community, but because acting allowed him to express and understand himself, his emotions, in a way he couldn’t before. That’s the power of this craft. Screenwriting too. Exploring your own mind, emotions, and spirit with words on a page. Adam Driver. Love him.
