If you’re hankering for a solid dose of the good stuff, piped directly from Rancho Obi-Wan then Facebook LIVE is where you need to be at 2pm Pacific (5pm Eastern, 10pm UK) as Steve and the Rancho team bring you a casual virtual edition of their planned Celebration Anaheim Rancho booth, looking back 40 years to the merchandise and days of The Empire Strikes Back.
This weekend we would have been visiting with you at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. The Rancho Obi-Wan Experience booth was to present a selection of items from The Empire Strikes Back, released 40 years ago this past May. Instead, we’ll bring the items to you via Facebook Live this weekend, Saturday & Sunday, August 29 & 30, 2pm Pacific Time.
Celebration has been a major source of funding for Rancho Obi-Wan. With the pandemic closures we are hard pressed to raise the funds needed to protect the collection and keep the non-profit functioning while we are in hibernation. One of the fundraisers at C2020 would have been the game “Star Wars with Friends”. Since the game has been canceled, all the prizes we would have given out are now bundled together and on sale in our store. Buy one for you, buy one for a friend!
And while you’re there, shop the store for other Rancho Obi-Wan souvenirs. These are the last of our inventory – never to be made again. When we eventually reopen we will have all new designs.
Steve will host a casual presentation of the items in the collection from The Empire Strikes Back that would have been exhibited at Celebration Anaheim. We’ve been doing some sorting and cleaning while closed, please excuse the managed chaos that will be the backdrop. 🙂
