Great news, among the very welcome torrent of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Celebration Chicago and Galaxy’s Edge news, is that Production Designers Doug Chiang and Andrew L. Jones look set to be working on the as-yet-untitled Jon Favreau live action Star Wars series.

As Disney prepares to launch its streaming service next year, Jon Favreau’s live-action Star Wars series has certainly generated a good deal of buzz. Said to take place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens (that’s 7 ABY to you and me), the series will have every opportunity to bridge the gap from the Rebellion to the Resistance and from the Empire to the First Order.

Favreau, who is writing, producing and starring in the series as an “important alien character”, is going to have his hands full and has been busy assembling his production and design team to begin preparing to bring this all-new time period to life. We can confirm that Favreau has enlisted the help of veteran Star Wars artist Doug Chiang and Andrew L. Jones, with whom he worked on The Jungle Book, to create the look for the series.
