Daisy Ridley on joining the MCU: “If they call, absolutely”

Her new film The Cleaner is heading our way fast, and in support of this new Martin Campbell directed action flick Daisy Ridley was asked whether she’d ever consider a journey to the MCU, and that elicited a reply that indicates yes, she’d very much like the chance to play another iconic hero.

“Look, I’m open to loads of stuff,” Ridley said. “I work with this amazing second AD called Matthew Sharp, and he texts me cause he’s doing Avengers, and he goes, ‘If they call.’ So I was like, ‘If they call, absolutely.’ I then of course love Batman, love The Penguin. I’m a fan of so many sorts of films. Yeah, I’m open to everything.”

Great news, and given the speed that the latest Jurassic film has turned around (and in the process look so darn intriguing and interesting under the steady hand of Gareth Edwards) there’s the chance we’ll see Daisy in the MCU before we see her long-awaited return as Rey in New Jedi Order.  Whatever order these films arrive, we’re here for them all.
