Radio Times asked Star Wars fans across the UK to vote for their favourite Star Wars villain, and the final result saw a resounding victory for the dark lord of the sith Darth Vader as he romped away with 33% of the total vote, which saw north of 10,000 votes cast.

Darth Vader – 33 per cent (3422)
The Emperor – 18 per cent (1897)
Grand Admiral Thrawn – 6 per cent (636)
Darth Maul – 6 per cent (632)
Boba Fett – 6 per cent (631)
General Grievous – 4 per cent (458)
Greedo – 4 per cent (399)

Asajj Ventress – 2 per cent (193)
Grand Inquisitor – 2 per cent (178)
Jabba the Hutt – 2 per cent (158)

It makes for an illuminating list, with perennial chart topper Vader winning but Boba Fett, often running closely behind, down to 6%, perhaps in view of his heroic return in The Mandalorian. Moff Gideon on 4% steps in ahead of Kylo Ren on 3% while Grand Admiral Thrawn, yet to appear in live action but mentioned by Ahsoka in The Jedi is in 3rd position with 6%. Star Wars Rebels is represented by the Grand Inquisitor on 2% as Captain Phasma joins Kylo Ren from the Sequel trilogy on 2% and the master of Maclunkey Greedo comes in 7th on 4%.
