We already have a beautiful Hasbro Sail Barge, but check out this scale model of Ralph McQuarrie‘s concept art turned into a living, breathing multi-layered diorama, created by model maker Chris Benware.

We catch up with model maker Chris Benware of the Nerf Herder’s Workshop build group to get an update on his studio scale Sandcrawler build at WonderFest! This year, not only has he completed his Sandcrawler miniature, but he’s taken on the challenge of turning Ralph McQuarrie’s concept drawing of Jabba’s sail barge into a multi-layered scale model fit for Kenner 3.75-inch Star Wars figures!
