Moving on into the next era of his career after bringing the 9 episode Skywalker Saga home with The Rise of Skywalker, J.J. Abrams dives into his new contract with WarnerMedia with a DC Universe series, Justice League Dark for HBO Max.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker director JJ Abrams will be producing a Justice League Dark TV series for HBO.

No further details have been revealed about the DC series, including which characters will feature in the show – but in the comics, the team comprised of individuals such as John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, Deadman and Doctor Mist, and many more.

In one particular story arc of the comics, Batman and Superman even cooperate with the team, while Wonder Woman featured in the second volume.

What Abrams take on DC will be is going to be fascinating to watch, given he has past history with DC properties (his unmade Superman project, Superman: Flyby). Watch this space.
