Friday 16th May saw fans descend on the Presidio, the headquarters of Lucasfilm in San Francisco to watch the 12th and final episode of Andor season 2 followed by Rogue One, and friend of the site Ricky Resurreccion (aka TK-74259 Golden Gate Garrison) was there to soak up the atmosphere and report for Fantha Tracks.

On May 16th, in what may be the final gathering tied to the screening of the second, and final season of Andor on Disney+, followed by Rogue One, hundreds of us came together at Lucasfilm headquarters in the Presidio of San Francisco to share in something special. Many of us were part of Star Wars costuming and fan groups, and some had traveled from as far as Washington, Southern California, Texas, Vancouver, Hawaii, and even Austria.

Some had already seen the final episode, same as others, I hadn’t. But most of us came for the same reason: to experience it together — with friends, familiar faces, and new ones. What brought us here wasn’t just the story on screen, but the connection we all share through the Star Wars community. Something that feels a lot like the Force itself.

As we marched outside the Lucasfilm facilities, we said goodbye not just to a series, but to a story that pushed the limits of what Star Wars could be. It wasn’t just a sendoff. It was a thank you. A moment of appreciation for a show that inspired us, and for each other.

And most of all, heartfelt thanks to Lucasfilm for continuing to support the fans who carry this galaxy with them, always.
