Kathleen Kennedy receives the MPSE Filmmaker Award

Given the MPSE Filmmaker Award by none other than Ben Burtt at the Motion Picture Sound Editors’ annual Golden Reel Awards on Sunday night, Kathleen Kennedy was honoured for her support for and contributions to the field of sound in film, support across decades of projects with Steven Spielberg, Amblin, Kennedy Marshall and Lucasfilm that have seen the art of sound effects develop into the aural symphonies we experience today.
