She’s a constant fixture on the convention scene, travelling from convention to convection around the world as part of her duties for REEDPop and as the event director of Star Wars Celebration and on 13th October she will be giving a TEDx talk about her career and fandom.

Star Wars Celebration Event Director, Mary Franklin, will be taking to the TEDx stage in Leamington Spa, England on Saturday October 13th 2018.

The Warwickshire town has been a temporary stop-off for Mary on her global ReedPOP travels and, as a TED Talks fan, she was keen to seize the opportunity to share her thoughts on the ‘Rhythms of Fandom’ at this popular event.

She will be joined on stage by an inspiring line-up of leading national and international speakers and performers, covering topics ranging from bio-science, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, nutrition, songwriting and dance.

All the talks will be filmed and will ultimately join the esteemed library of TEDx Talks on the worlds’ most watched YouTube channel but, if you want to be in the audience, tickets for the day-long event are on sale now.
