Back on the 27th December 1977, after seven long months of waiting, Star Wars finally arrived in the UK. Landing in London first, as was the way back then, the film eventually circled out to the rest of the UK and just as it had in the States and around the world it caused the biggest cultural explosion since The Beatles.
