It was a long wait between film projects for director Gareth Edwards, but after such a beloved smash hit as Rogue One, the next film had to be the right film, and boy was this the right film. The Creator may not have ignited the box office as hoped, but in every other measure it was a smash; a captivating story, great performances, superb music and stunning visual effects that are sure to at the very least grab a nomination for ILM at the 2024 Oscars (and if there’s any justice walk away with the iconic C-3PO look alike).

If you were one of those who missed it on it’s theatrical release, you can watch it on Disney Plus in the UK from Wednesday 17th January, where the film should find the adulation it deserved on it’s cinematic outing.

The original motion picture event from the director of Rogue One is arriving on Disney+ in the UK less than a month after the film debuted on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S. on December 20, 2023, following a theatrical release in September.

The Creator stars John David Washington as Joshua, a grieving ex-special forces agent tasked with hunting down and killing an AI architect known as “The Creator,” who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end war and also wipe out humanity, only to discover that the world-ending threat is a young child.
