The buzz around the game has been tremendous and people are clearly having a lot of fun with it, and that’s shown in its high chart position as Star Wars: Squadrons enters the UK chart at number 2, just behind the mega selling Crash Bandicoot 4.

Crash Bandicoot 4
Star Wars: Squadrons
Super Mario 3D All-Stars
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Marvel’s Avengers
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Minecraft Dungeons
Minecraft (Nintendo Switch)
Mafia: Definitive Edition
Mafia Trilogy

Sales for Squadrons were down 80% on those of the last Star Wars epic, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but it’s worth remembering the environment we’re currently in and the very different nature of the two games – this is a marathon, not a sprint, and Squadrons looks to have the legs to keep gamers and GFFA fans hooked.

Check out the Eurogamer review above, and listen to episode 57 of Making Tracks as myself and Mark give our first impressions of the game.
