Based on a CGI model first seen in Star Wars Rebels, the Hammerhead Corvette was one of the key vehicles of Rogue One, pushing one Star Destroyer into another and causing them both to crash into the Shield Gate, knocking out Scarifs defences and allowing the Rogue One team the chance to get the secret plans to the Profundity and giving the galaxy a chance. Never built as a physical shooting model by ILM, watch the Tested team check out the work of Carter Cooksey as he builds the Hammerhead.

While ILM never built a physical model of the Hammerhead Corvette for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, fans have nevertheless taken it upon themselves to create their interpretation of a studio scale miniature of this awesome Rebel Alliance ship. Model maker Carter Cooksey is one of these model makers, and we check out his Hammerhead model along with this Y-Wing build at this year’s WonderFest studio showcase!
