24 years ago, Lucasfilm launched a multimedia Star Wars project that would deliver everything but the movie – Shadows of the Empire. Set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the project would include books, comic series, computer games, action figures, collectibles and a superb score by Young Indiana Jones Chronicles composer Joel McNeely, performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. It would arrive in 1996 on CD and cassette, but never on vinyl….until now.

Varèse Sarabande Records, the company who released the original recording almost a quarter of a century ago are now releasing the score on vinyl, wrapped in that stunning Drew Struzan artwork seen on so many Shadows products, as well as re-releasing it on CD.
